Lock access to the North Sea via the Ghent Terneuzen Canal

Atas Logistics pte ltd's Ghent facility sits within the North Sea Port cluster, reached from the North Sea through the Ghent Terneuzen Canal and its sea locks rather than a direct open-water berth. The lock transit caps vessel size below what Rotterdam or Antwerp can take, so the terminal is built around mid-size product tankers and inland barge distribution into Flanders and northern France, with a growing share of biofuel blendstock alongside conventional distillates. Heated tanks hold viscous cargo at pumping temperature; segregated lines keep lighter product on spec from ship or barge to shore.
